Lotus of Loss™

The Five-Petal Journey

A gentle path toward reorientation, reconnection, and self-discovery.

Grief at its deepest level is love.

There are losses that change the shape of our lives. Some leave us searching for words. Others change how we see ourselves, our bodies, our relationships, and the future we once imagined.

You do not have to know where to begin. You do not have to have the right words. And you do not have to move through grief on anyone else's timeline.

The Five-Petal Journey is an invitation to slow down, make room for your experience, and gently reconnect with yourself—one petal at a time.

When Loss Changes Everything

Grief is not limited to one kind of loss. It can follow pregnancy loss, infertility, stillbirth, infant or child loss, the loss of an expected future, or other deeply personal life experiences.

Sometimes grief is visible to the world. Sometimes it is carried quietly, without recognition or understanding.

You may feel disconnected from your body, uncertain of who you are becoming, or unsure how to move forward while still honoring what you have lost.

There is no single way to grieve. Your experience deserves room to be yours.

A Journey Through Five Petals

Inspired by the natural unfolding of the lotus, the Five-Petal Journey offers a structured yet gentle experience of exploration and reflection.

Each petal represents an opportunity to turn toward a different dimension of your experience. Together, they create space for awareness, expression, compassion, and integration.

Petal One — Root: Returning to the Body

A gentle beginning centered on the physical self. Explore grounding, safety, sensory awareness, and your relationship with the body you inhabit today.

Petal Two — Feeling: Making Room for Emotion

Explore the emotional landscape of grief with curiosity and compassion. There is no expectation to feel a particular way or to move through emotions in a prescribed order.

Petal Three — Heart: Honoring Love and Connection

Make space for the love, memories, relationships, and meanings that remain part of your story. Explore connection without pressure to let go or leave anything behind.

Petal Four — Expression: Giving Shape to the Unspoken

Use reflection, journaling, creativity, and other gentle practices to explore experiences that may be difficult to put into words.

Petal Five — Integration: Reorienting Toward Life

Explore what it means to carry your story forward. Consider the needs, values, connections, and possibilities that may support the person you are becoming.

The Journey is not about completing grief. It is about making room for yourself within the life you are living.

What Makes This Journey Different?

The Five-Petal Journey brings together trauma-informed principles, somatic awareness, reflective practices, creative expression, and the wisdom of yoga philosophy.

This is not a process of fixing, rushing, or replacing what has been lost.

It is a space where you can:

  • Be heard without judgment or expectations.

  • Explore your experience at your own pace.

  • Reconnect with your body through optional, gentle practices.

  • Use creativity and reflection when words are difficult.

  • Honor the love and meaning connected to your loss.

  • Explore what reorientation may look like in your life.

You are always the authority on your own experience. Every practice is an invitation, never an obligation.

You Do Not Have to Do This Alone

The Five-Petal Journey is offered as a supportive, individualized grief-coaching experience.

Your journey is personal. There is room for pauses, changing needs, difficult days, and moments of discovery. You do not have to perform healing or arrive at a particular outcome.

You are allowed to begin exactly where you are.

An Invitation to Begin

Perhaps you are ready to explore. Perhaps you are simply curious. Perhaps you are not sure what you need yet.

There is room for all of that.

You do not have to force the lotus to bloom. You only have to allow yourself the space to unfold.

If the Five-Petal Journey speaks to something within you, I invite you to reach out and learn more.
